About Our Agency
Coyle-Varland Insurance Agency, Inc., located in downtown Rockford, Illinois, was founded January 1, 1992 with the merger/incorporation of R.M. Coyle Company (founded in 1978 by R. Michael Coyle) and Varland Insurance Agency, Inc. (founded in 1955). The company has continued to grow, in part, through acquisitions over the years, but in majority by referrals made by clients stemming from the customer service our company has continued to build its reputation upon. Coyle-Varland is owned by Mike Coyle, Mark Sudderberg, Richard Reese, and Dana Kiley and presently employs 20 full-time employees, many whom have been employed in the insurance field for over 30 years. Coyle-Varland possesses over 55 years of insurance experience (over 300 years employee-combined).
Coyle-Varland Insurance Agency is an Independent Insurance Agency licensed to conduct business throughout the United States. The agency has earned the respect of, and is contracted to do business with, over 30 of the best insurance companies in the world. Our relationship with these carriers, which are at a minimum “A” rated by AM Best for their financial stability, is critical to our success. We will always go the extra mile to insure that our carriers feel that it is as important for them to be represented by us as it is for us to be representing them. We are recognized by our carriers for our outstanding customer service and have been for many years. Through this recognition, Mike Coyle has served on advisory boards for several of our carriers.
Coyle-Varland Insurance Agency is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, the National Independent Insurance Agents Association, and the National Professional Insurance Agents Association.
